CUIT Students Made Good Records in the 2016 American College Students Mathematical Contest in Modeling

Recently, the results of the 2016 American College Students Mathematical Contest in Modeling were published. Following the excellent result of the previous year that 3 teams organized by CUIT had two Meritorious Winners, this year we continued making a good record as 7 teams in the competition obtained four Honorable Mentions.

The 2016 American College Students Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM/ICM) was hold around the globe from January 29th to February 2nd, Beijing time. 7 teams of CUIT, a total of 21 students, fought hard for this competition in numerical analysis and algorithm laboratory of the Applied Mathematics College. They strived for the competition and eventually completed the tasks successfully after 96 hours of continuous work.

PS: American College Students Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM/ICM) is the only and also the most influential international mathematical contest in modeling in the world , the originator of all kinds of mathematical contest in modeling and currently the world's top international mathematical modeling contest for college students. MCM/ICM is the abbreviation of Mathematical Contest In Modeling and the Interdisciplinary Contest In Modeling. MCM was established In 1985, ICM In 2000.This international competition was held by the American Association of Natural Foundation and the American Association of Mathematics Application and sponsored by several institutes including American Institute for the Management Sciences, Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Society .
