The Southwestern Regional Meteorological Information Technology Exchange Conference was held in CUIT. Luo Bing, Chief Engineer of National Meteorological Information Center, Zeng Qin, Vice Director of China Meteorological Administration Leading Group Office for Informatization, Vice President of Party Committee of CUIT Jing Fengrong attended the meeting, which was hosted by professor Shu Hongping, Dean of the Software Engineering College.
Jing Fengrong gave all the guests a warm welcome for their arrivals, and then introduced the basic situations, development orientation, ideas and plans for development of CUIT. She pointed out that CUIT has always attached great importance to and fully participated in the informatization construction of weather system, hoping that through this meeting a communication platform for the southwestern regional meteorological system could be established for further promoting the development of meteorological operations and management, and promoting the transformation and upgrade of meteorological information and the capacity of meteorological information service.
During the Conference, Deputy Director Zeng Qin, Senior Engineer of the National Meteorological Information Center Wang Lixia and Chief Software Architects of Ali-cloud for meteorological industry Liu Ningsheng gave academic lectures respectively.
Launched by CUIT, Southwestern Regional Meteorological Information Technology Exchange Conference has so far been held for three consecutive sessions. It aims to promote the upgrading and development of southwest regional meteorological operations and management level, the transformation and upgrading of meteorological information and the capacity of meteorological information service. It was also committed to strengthen achievements communication of the information technology in research and application among meteorological field and industry. This conference will further promote the sincere cooperation between CUIT and the meteorological department and resource sharing for win-win development.
