Professor Anthony K Lau from Chemical and Biological Engineering College of UBC Gives an Academic Lecture in CUIT

Professor Anthony K Lau from Chemical and Biological Engineering College of University of British Columbia was invited to CUIT to give an academic lecture entitledBioconversion Processes and Systems. Professor Liu Shengyu hosted this lecture and teachers and students from Resources and Environment College attended this lecture.

Professor Anthony K Lau focused on the topics of “Anaerobic Fermentation of Kitchen Solid Waste”, “new technology of compost”and “Biological Hydrogen Production” and then introduced processes and techniques of solid waste disposal in Vancouver area of Canada. It is worth mentioning that the environmental protection equipment designed by students of University of British Columbia has been accepted and used by the public. Such as anaerobic composting machine and water purification installation.

In the end, Professor Anthony K Lau had a communication with teachers and students attended. He expressed that University of British Columbia welcomes CUIT teachers and students to study and communicate in UBC in future.
