Mr. Jeff Zabudskym, President of Sheridan College, and his delegation including the former Mayor of Mississauga city, Lady Hazel McCallion, Mayor of Oakville, Mr. Robert Burton, Senator of the Canadian Federation, Mr. Victor Oh, Associate Dean of the Mechanical Engineering School of Sheridan College, Mr. Farzad Reyagani, Associate Dean of the Animation and Game Design Major of Sheridan College, Mrs. Angela Stukator, Officer of Culture and Education Department of Consulate of Canada in Chongqing, Mrs. Ada Gan, visited CUIT and signed a MOU. President Zhou Jiliu welcomed the visiting guests and attended the communication conference which was hosted by Duan Qianbing, Director of International Office.
The delegation firstly visited the Exhibition of Information discipline group and had a better understanding about the construction of CUIT on Information disciplines.
On the conference, President Zhou Jiliu extended warm welcome to the delegation and introduced our achievements about information disciplines, hoping that the establishment of International Animation Industry Base could benefit for both universities. He also expressed that aprerequisitefor the International Animation Industry Base lies in the fact that Chengdu is becoming a new land for animation industry with the strong support from local government.
After the conference, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between CUIT and Sheridan College. The signing of the MOU will further enhance the cooperation between two universities.
In the afternoon, accompanied by Duan Qianbing, the delegation visited Tianfu software park and Chengdu Bluebird Animation co., LTD, hoping that the development of Chengdu animation industry could be better understood by the visiting guests.
The other staff also attended the conference in CUIT includes Chen Min, Director of Teaching Affairs Office, He Jia, Dean of Computer Science College, Jiang Tao, Associate Dean of Control Engineering College, Yang Ling, Dean of Electronic Engineering College, Liao Simei, Dean of Culture and Art College.
