CUIT Delegation Attended CDIO 2017 Asia Conference

CDIO 2017Asia Conference was held in Bangkok, Thailand. Member of the CDIO International Organization Committee, AssociateDean of College of Computer Science, Prof. Wu Xi, Associate Dean of College of Communication Engineering, Associate Prof. Ma Wenying attended the conference.

The conference was held by Engineering College of Chulalongkorn University with the attendance of more than 230 representatives from 14 countries and regions, including China, Sweden, Canada, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Mongolia and Taiwan of China. The conference explored topics ofThe Future and Development of CDIOandChallenges in Engineering Education of Industry 4.0and so on. As one of the first-rate universities in Thailand, Chulalongkorn University has achieved remarkable results in engineering education.

As the only invited speaker in China, Prof. Wu made a report titledThe CDIO Implementation System of CUITand introduced CDIO implementation in CUIT. Wu reported in three aspects from training system design, implementation methods and student training, which was highly recognized by the delegates.

After the report, representatives of universities from India, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and other countries consulted CDIO implementations of our university and expressed strong intentions of cooperation.

CUIT delegation listened to the report from Kanazawa Institute of Technology in Japan, which plans to undertake CDIO International Conference in 2018, and Reform University in Vietnam, which will undertake CDIO Asia Conference. The CDIO committee unanimously adopted the application of four universities, including Feng Chia University, to join in CDIO.
