Associate Professor Amber Settle from Depaul University Gives a Lecture in CUIT

At the invitation of School of Computer Science, Associate Professor of DePaul University and ACM SIGCSE's Chairman, Amber Settle, gave a lecture entitled HTML Pasing and Web Crawling using Python in the Classroom 1101. This lecture was hosted by Zou Maoyang, a teacher of School of Computer Science, with the attendance of some students and teachers from School of Computer Science.


Amber gave a basic introduction on the various components of HTML based on Python language by illustrating examples and then demonstrated how to collect and filter Web information in the form of demo code.

After the meeting, Amber exchanged views with the teachers and students, who expressed that they benefited greatly from her vivid explanation in the lecture.
