The opening ceremony was hosted by Prof. He Jia from School of Computer Science of CUIT.

This conference was supported by the Information Division of National Natural Science Foundation of China and China Computer Federation. Prof. Zhou Jiliu was elected as the president of this conference, with other three presidents Prof. Jiang Ming of Peking University, Prof. Eric Todd Quinto of Tufts University, USA, and Prof. Nathan Ida of University of Akron, USA.

Prof. Zhou Jiliu warmly welcomed the guests from throughout the world and introduced CUIT briefly in the opening ceremony of the conference. He stated that ICSI 2017 was an academic festival in the field of Sensing and Imaging, which would provide the platform of academic exchanges for experts, scholars and students in this field and promote cooperation between researchers and relevant industries.

Eric Todd Quinto said the conference aimed at creating the opportunities for young scholars to communicate with experts, whose academic abilities would be increased continually and he wished ICSI 2017 a great success.

Prof. Jiang Ming introduced the development course of ICSI. He presented that ICSI had been held successfully in Chifeng of Inner Mongolia, Taiyuan of Shanxi province and it received great support from coherent units to be held in Chengdu. All academic papers received at the conference will be published on Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering of Spring & Nature as a collection, which can be searched by ISI Proceedings, EI-Compendex, SCOPUS, Meta Press, as well as Springer link.

Research in Sensing and Imaging that crosses science and engineer is hot and advanced. It is also in connection with information technology, mathematics and physics.
