The teaching and research team in the college is characterized by the rational structure and high academic level, including 9 professors, 8 associate professors, which among them, one is vice doctoral tutor, twelve are master tutors, six are doctors. The teachers in the college have won the honor of the Provincial-level Outstanding Teachers at Universities and Colleges, and the Chengdu Top Ten Teachers at Universities and Colleges. Besides, 21 renowned experts have been invited as visiting professors and master tutors in the college. In recent years, 8 teachers of the college have studied in different countries, comprising the United States, Germany, Japan, and Thailand. The teaching and scientific research level has been rising steadily.

The college has established the Key Laboratory of Statistical Information Technology and Data Mining of the National Bureau of Statistics, two teaching and scientific research platforms of Sichuan Provincial Economic Statistics Research Center, and the National Bureau of Statistics Statistical Cadres Training Base.
