Internationalization CUIT implements the opening policy of education in new era and the requirements of The Belt and Road initiative for the internationalization of education, expands exchanges and cooperation with overseas universities in teaching, research and other fields actively, creates international atmosphere and builds a platform for teachers and students to exchange abroad. Currently, CUIT has various cooperation with more than 30 universities (including University of Cambridge, University of California, Columbia University and University of Melbourne) from USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other countries and regions.
CUIT had more than 50 student programs, including degree programs, short-term programs and visit programs, and we guide students to apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship study abroad programs. Meanwhile, CUIT published relevant policies to support students studying abroad. In 2016, the number of student studying abroad exceeded 60. At the same time, CUIT open Summer School every year, inviting foreign experts and scholars to give lectures. In 2016, more than 40 foreign professors came to CUIT to have courses and academic lectures. International student education is an important direction in the internationalization of Chengdu University of Information Technology. CUIT has a long history of welcoming international students with different cultural backgrounds. In the past years, students from America, German, South Africa, Singapore, South Korea, and many other countries and regions have come to CUIT to take language and culture classes. CUIT offers different types of international student programs, including degree-seeking programs and non-degree seeking programs. CUIT has hosted many cultural and art activities for Chinese students and international students as well. These activities and performances have promoted their friendship and enhanced their mutual understanding. CUIT has the history of employing and inviting overseas scholars and faculties. The international scholars are playing an increasingly role in teaching and research activities, bringing cultural diversity to campus, promoting friendship and understanding across different cultures, and enhancing the collaboration between Chinese scholars and global experts.
CUIT takes active part in different international conferences, through which the global horizon of faculties has been broadened. The host of international conferences is also a direction of the development of CUIT into internationalization. Our Partners Colorado State University
