Teachers of Atmospheric Sciences College Attend the EGU International Conference

At the invitation of EGU (European Geosciences Unite), teachers from Atmospheric Sciences College including Zhou Junjun, Xiao Tiangui, Li Guoping, Jin Liya, Hua Wei and Wang Chao attended the 2017 EGU Annual Meeting. This meeting invited more than 14,000 people from 107 countries and covered a number of branches of Geology, including Atmospheric Science, Biology, Eternal Circle Science, Energy / Resources and Environment, Geodesy, Geodynamics, Topography, Geophysical Equipment and Instruments, Hydrology, Magnetism, Petro Physics and Materials, Natural Disasters, Geophysical Nonlinear Processes, Oceanography, Planetary and Solar Systems Science, Seismology, Soil Science, Geoscience, Stratigraphy / Sedimentology and Paleontology, Tectonics and Tectonics Volcanology / Geochemistry, Petrology, Mineralogy.


Our teachers respectively gave speeches entitled The Influences of Current Propagation Velocity of CG Lightning Return Stroke and Propagation Medium Conductivity on Lightning Horizontal Electric Fields, The Influence of Low-frequency Oscillation Propagation of the Tibetan Plateau Vortex on Rainstorm Downstream, Analysis of Mechanism of Tibetan Plateau Vortex Frequency Differences between Strong and Weak MJO Periods, Similar speleothemδ18O signals indicating diverging climate variations in inland central Asia and monsoonal south Asia during the Holocene, Trends and Uncertainties in Surface Air Temperature over the Tibetan Plateau, 1951-2013, and Testing and Improving the Performance of CoLM (Common Land Model) over Gobi Desert Surface and achieved good results.
