President of Waikato Institute of Technology of New Zealand Visits CUIT

In the afternoon, President Mark of Waikato Institute of Technology and his delegation visited Chengchuang Space of CUIT and. Zhou Jiliu, Chair of Council and Gong Guanying, Director of the University Science Park Management Committee and Director of Chengdu Research Institute, had a discussion with the visiting guests.



     


Zhou Jiliu warmly welcomed the visiting group and introduced the achievements on value-added services, the development planning, the transformation of college students’ innovation entrepreneurship and scientific and technological achievements made by Chengchuang Space. He stressed that innovation entrepreneurship needs international perspective, and a deeper cross-regional and cross-cultural communication and cooperation with Waikato should be established and a broader cooperation platform for communication between both teachers and students of the two universities should be set up by sharing resources. President Mark held the idea that CUIT made great achievements in innovation entrepreneurship and provided a good reference to Waikato Institute of Technology.


     


After having a look on the infrastructure of Chengchuang Space, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on college students’ International Contest of Innovation and Incubating Enterprise exchange program and other matters.


     


Staff of Academic Affairs Office, International Office, and Chengchuang Space participated in the discussion.
