The 2018 Foreign Affairs Meeting of CUIT

The 2018 Foreign Affairs Meeting of CUIT was held in the 7th conference room of the Administrative Building of Hang konggang campus. Vice President He Jianxin, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Office He Jia, Deputy Director Liu Wei, Leaders of Academic Affairs Office, Postgraduate Office, Science and Technology Department, Student Affairs Office, Teacher's Teaching Development and Evaluation Center, Leaders of Foreign Affairs Office of each College, International Secretaries and Foreign Affairs Liaison Coordinators attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by He Jia, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office.



At the meeting, He Jia introduced the key tasks and development ideas for international exchange and cooperation in 2018, including vigorously promoting the cultivation of international talents, continuously improving the internationalization of the teaching staff, and consistently focusing on the development of the International Education College. She pointed out that CUIT will establish an effective foreign affairs liaison mechanism, strengthening communication and exchange with each college and a sound international assessment system. Liu Wei introduced the basic work processes and the do's and don'ts involved in foreign-related reception, the going-abroad methods for teachers(domestic) management, and Intelligence Recruiting of Foreign Experts and other work points.


Kang Ping of the Atmospheric Sciences introduced the related practices of the School of Atmospheric Sciences in internationalization. He exchanged views on academic exchanges with the University of Hawaii, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany, and the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. Examples of cooperation in scientific research projects include sharing experiences. Wu Xi, Deputy Dean of  Computer Science, took the cooperation between School of Computer Science and Vanderbilt University in United States as an example to share his valuable experience in establishing contacts with foreign universities and conducting in-depth cooperation. Jiang Tao, Dean of School of Control Engineering, introduced the situation of the international development of School of Control Engineering, positioning and thinking and strategic planning. He also exchanged his experience with the cooperation with University of Siegen in Germany.


He Jianxin expressed his recognition and gratitude to the Schools for their efforts in the course of internationalization. He pointed out that the current internationalization of our university is still in its infancy. Schools should make full use of existing international cooperation projects and vigorously develop Chinese-foreign cooperative education projects to achieve breakthroughs from quantitative change to qualitative change. CUIT hopes to send more students and teachers abroad to continue learning and advanced studies.
