CDIO faculty training project held by CUIT and Singapore Polytechnic entered into the third stage-- senior faculty training. Consulted by SP and CUIT, 26 teachers inside and outside of CUIT, 2 experts from SP came to CUIT for training guidance, teachers from CUIT, Chengdu College of UESTC and Chengdu Neusoft University participated in this training. The project is organized jointly by Teachers & Teaching Development and Evaluation Center and International Exchange and Cooperation Office.
Linda Lee and Lee Chong Hwa started 3-day senior faculty training, in which they emphasized that master trainers should process open thinking model, great passion and responsibility while focusing on teamwork. The training is aiming at helping 26 master trainers to complete transformation in the role from project design to implementation in order to achieve practical application of CDIO teaching & learning model. The experts guided the master trainer team about how to apply implementation programs and action projects, how to promote team design and efficiently apply of role assignment for team building of further CDIO workshop.
Through the third stage of training, master trainers developed ability in planning and implementation of CDIO projects, mastered basic methods to prepare plans & materials for CDIO programs, guide and assist CDIO implementation, and prepare reports of CDIO implementation guidance. Teachers participated had expressed great benefits.
After this stage, 26 master trainers will be chosen for further study in the seventh stage training at SP in July.
