Chengdu University of Information Technology was founded in 1951, after years of transformation and reform, it became a university co-sponsored by both Sichuan Province and China Meteorological Administration (CMA). Today, it is home to more than 21,500 undergraduate students, 3,800 postgraduates and over 1,600 full-time faculty, and is still located in one of the largest central cities in western China with a population over 200 million.

Longquan Campus Longquan Campus With 51 undergraduate majors in 19 colleges, it is developing into three faculties, which are Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Atmospheric Science and Faculty of Economy and Management. CUIT has 1 doctoral degree program authorization site and 27 master's degree program authorization sites. Four disciplines in the top 1% of global ESI: Geo-sciences, Engineering, Environment /Ecology and Materials Science.
CUIT has built up international cooperation relations with more than 40 universities of different countries, including USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Ireland, Thailand, Singapore, and Australia. CUIT pays lots of attention on developing internationalization for students, faculties, teaching and research. For student internationalization, we are actively help students to find ways to study abroad and set up cooperative partnership with universities overseas, exploring the student programs as 2+2/3+1/1+2+1. Meanwhile, CUIT welcomes international students for different levels ranging for Chinese language study and degree study. |
