International Exchange and Cooperation Office of CUIT Attends Lancang-Mekong CBEC Convention

       Invited by International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI) of Chiang Mai University, Thailand, Ms. Lei Lei from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of Chengdu University of Information Technology (CUIT) attended the international convention hosted by Chiang Mai University from 24 February to 1 March, 2023, Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Project-strengthening Entrepreneurs in LMC for Route Number1 Innovation Corridor Development. Participants included representatives of different industries as well as 100 students from China, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia.

A seminar themed with The Future of Thai-Chinese Graduate Studies in the Post Covid-19 Era was held on 25 Feb. 2023, and representatives from CUIT, Chengdu University, Chiang Mai University, National University of Laos, Hanoi University of Vietnam exchanged some amazing ideas and information that could promote future cooperation among the four universities. These ideas include a one-degree program from a host university with an internship at partner universities, double-degree programs or joint programs, co-teaching via virtual online lectures, joint mobility PhD program and joint scientific research.

On 27 Feb. 2023, Ms. Lei Lei visited ICDI of Chiang Mai University and had an accreditation meeting with Assistant Professor Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, the Dean of ICDI. They had a detailed discussion on the ideas of potential international exchange and cooperation between the two universities in the post-pandemic era, including student exchange programs, master's and doctoral programs and joint scientific research. The International Exchange and Cooperation Office of CUIT and ICDI signed a MOU for faculty-level cooperation in May, 2021. It is proposed that a MOU be established at the university level with the goal of promoting academic collaboration in an all-round way between the two universities in the near future.
