The 2023 International Conference on Information and Communication Engineering (JCICE 2023), jointly organized by CUIT and Chengdu University of Technology, and hosted by the School of Communication Engineering (Microelectronics) at CUIT and the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Chengdu University of Technology, was successfully held from May 12th to 14th, 2023. Co-organizers included the School of Information Engineering at Peking University and the CoreShare Academic Exchange Center. The conference lasted for three days and was held both online and offline, with participants from China and international research communities attending in both ways. The conference was supported by many well-known universities, including Peking University, Xiamen University, Huaqiao University, Heilongjiang University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Sichuan University, Chengdu University of Technology, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Beijing Institute of Technology.

At the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Li Dongfang from the School of Communication Engineering (Microelectronics) at Chengdu University of Information Technology hosted the event and expressed a warm welcome to the attendees. Professor Xue Yajuan from the same school delivered the opening speech, wishing the conference a successful outcome. Four experts were invited to deliver keynote speeches, including Professor Liu Jiangchuan from Simon Fraser University in Canada, Professor Li Yonghui from the University of Sydney, Professor Liang Zhongming from Shenzhen University, and Professor Liu Zilong from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom.

The conference was divided into three sessions, with oral, poster, and online presentations respectively. Each session was organized by two session chairs and evaluated by several anonymous experts. The best oral and best poster candidates were nominated for each session, and the list of winners was finally determined by the conference award committee. The conference covered a wide range of topics, including information and communication networks, network and data security, multimedia and image processing, wireless sensor networks and applications, and mobile peer-to-peer networks.

The award ceremony was held on the afternoon of May 13th. Professor Li Yingxiang from the School of Communication Engineering (Microelectronics) at Chengdu University of Information Technology delivered the closing speech, marking the successful conclusion of the conference. The JCICE conference will continue to explore and forge ahead, aiming to stimulate innovation, promote mutual communication and cooperation among all participants, and discuss the latest technological developments in the wireless communication, 5G, and Internet of Things fields, becoming an important force in promoting academic exchanges and industry-university-research cooperation in the information and communication fields.
