On the afternoon of September 23, the opening ceremony of the 2024 International Education Week with the theme of "Global Vision, Building the Future Together" was held in the International Conference Hall at the Hangkonggang Campus. This International Education Week aims to promote educational exchanges and cooperation between countries through a series of colorful academic activities, broaden students' international horizons, and enhance CUIT's level of internationalization.

At the opening ceremony, representatives from friendly cooperative institutions from both at home and abroad, experts, scholars, teachers and international friends gathered together to witness this important moment. Vice President Wu Xi delivered a welcome speech at the opening ceremony, expressing warm welcome and heartfelt gratitude to the guests who had traveled a long way, and introducing the achievements in internationalization of CUIT in recent years.

Wu Xi pointed out that International Education Week is an important part of CUIT's internationalization strategy and an important platform for showcasing our internationalized educational achievements and promoting international exchanges and cooperation. CUIT will continue to adhere to its open and inclusive educational philosophy and deepen cooperation and exchanges with international partners from various aspects. It will build a more comprehensive international education system from multiple perspectives and provide higher quality international educational resources.

Mr. Huang Ziyuan from Comptense University in Spain delivered a speech on behalf of the partner institutions and shared his views on international education. He pointed out that it is international education that unites people of different civilizations, countries, skin colors and languages in the world to study and develop together and promote the building of a community of shared future for mankind through educational exchanges and cooperation.

MOUDI MAHDI, a representative of the high-end foreign experts, delivered a speech, sharing his experience of studying and working in CUIT as a foreign expert and his understanding of international education.

During the International Education Week, a series of wonderful academic lectures will be held in Campus. It is expected that about 2,400 students and teachers will participate in the lectures, covering various fields such as humanities and social sciences, science and engineering, providing a broad platform for teachers and students to learn and communicate. During the event, overseas study and employment counseling sessions will be held to create personalized development paths for students. At the sub-forum of the International Education Week, various teaching and research institutions will also invite many excellent students to share and exchange ideas for students. The student-centered International Education Week 2024 aims to enhance students' international competitiveness and intercultural communication ability through a combination of practical activities and theoretical learning, and lay a solid foundation for them to become interdisciplinary talents with an international perspective.
