China Meteorological Administration (CMA) recently announced its 2024 Science and Technology Production Evaluations, with 21 projects rated “Excellent” and 39 rated “Good”. Projects involving CUIT faculty were recognized as follows: Professor Li Guoping’s “Mechanisms and Forecasting of Flash Rainstorms in Western Mountainous Regions” and Professor Zhao Yong’s “Atmospheric Water Cycle Processes in Central Asian Arid Zones” both received “Excellent” ratings; Professor Hua Wei’s “Synergistic Effects of Arctic-Tropical Systems on China’s Extreme Climate Events” received a “Good” rating. Our university served as secondary contributor for all three projects.
