CUIT President He Jianxin Attends WAIC 2025 in Shanghai

The 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), under the theme “Global Solidarity in The AI Era,” was held in Shanghai from July 26 to 28. The event brought together over 1,200 distinguished guests from more than 40 countries and regions. Chinese Premier Li Qiang attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, emphasizing that AI should serve as an international public good that benefits humanity.


President of CUIT He Jianxin was invited to attend the Conference.This Conference featured five main sections: Conference and Forum, Display and Exhibition, Contest and Award, Intelligent Experience, and Innovation Incubation. The exhibition space exceeded 70,000 square meters for the first time, attracting over 800 companies. On display were over 3,000 cutting-edge achievements, comprehensively showcasing the latest advancements in AI technology and global governance practices.

As one of the core agendas of the conference, the Meteorological Special Session, co-hosted by China Meteorological Administration (CMA) and World Meteorological Organization (WMO), was held under the theme “AI-powered Meteorology for Early Warnings for All.” The session brought together experts, government representatives, and business delegates from 26 countries and regions.
