On March 12, according to the latest Essential Science Indicators (ESI) data released by Clarivate Analytics, Chengdu University of Information Technology (CUIT) achieved a new milestone as its Chemistry discipline entered the ESI Global Top 1% for the first time. This marks the sixth discipline at CUIT to achieve this distinction, following Geosciences (May 2022), Engineering (July 2022), Environment/Ecology (May 2023), Materials Science (March 2025), and Computer Science (November 2025).

      The data shows that from 2015 to the present, CUIT has published 378 articles and reviews in Chemistry, with a total of 8,175 citations. Among them, three papers are listed as ESI Top Papers (Highly Cited Papers).

      In addition, CUIT’s other five ESI disciplines continue to show strong performance. All have improved their global rankings compared to the same period last year, reflecting the university’s steady progress in research output and academic impact.
