CUIT launches the CDIO International Cooperative Teacher Training Program

The CDIO international cooperative teacher training program (CUIT-SP CDIO Program) jointly sponsored by the Temasek foundation and the Singapore Polytechnic is officially launched in CUIT. The project, carried out in nine phases, will last two years, in which more than 120 teachers from Singapore Polytechnic Institute, Chengdu Dongruan College, Chengdu College of UESTC, Xihua University and CUIT involved. The project is organized by the Teacher’s Teaching Development and Evaluation Center and the International Exchange and Cooperation Office.

The launching ceremony of the project was held in the classroom of the Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship club. Vice President He Jianxin, Cheif Adviser of International Affairs of Singapore Polytechnic Dr. Linda Lee and her tutor team, Vice President of Chengdu Dongruan College, Kang Guihua, Director of Teaching Affairs Office of Chengdu College Of UESTC, Chen Qing, Deputy Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Liu Wei, Director of the Teacher’s Teaching Development and Evaluation Center Wu Sijiu and Deputy Director He Keqi attended the launching ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Wu Sijiu.

He Jianxin warmly welcomed the leaders and teachers and expressed his sincere thanks to the team of Singapore Polytechnic. He briefly reviewed the CDIO engineering education development course, shared the CDIO engineering education in CUIT and introduced the significant meaning of the international cooperation of teacher training program and the overall scheme. He hoped that everyone could cherish this learning opportunity, take part in the training seriously, understand the essence of CDIO in the training process and apply it to teaching practice to improve teaching methods and improve teaching quality.

Dr. Linda Lee introduced the main conditions of the training tutor team, CDIO international cooperation teacher teaching training program’s teaching and study frame, concrete content and time arrangement.

After the launching ceremony, the teaching program was officially started. In the next two days, the tutor team from Singapore Polytechnic will lead more than 120 teachers to develop the first stage of teaching training around CDIO teaching concept.
