Professor Li Zhanqing from University of Maryland had an Exchange Visit in CUIT

Li Zhanqing, a professor in the department of Atmospheric and Marine Sciences at University of Maryland of America was invited to CUIT for an exchange visit.

During the communication, Professor Li delivered a report entitled the relationship of China's air pollution and climate change: interaction between aerosol and boundary layer. In the report, four aspects are introduced including the aerosol and global climate change, aerosols and monsoon system, the interaction between aerosol and boundary layer and the interaction between aerosol, wind, cloud and precipitation. More than 100 teachers and students from School of Atmospheric Science, School of Resources and Environment, and School of Electronic Engineering attended the report, which was chaired by Vice President Fan Guangzhou.

 

Li visited the School of Atmospheric Science and Electrical Engineering an their laboratories, and had meeting with more than 20 teacher from School of Atmospheric Science, Resources and Environment, Electrical Engineering, he introduces the Atmospheric and Ocean Sciences Department at the university of Maryland and its domestic cooperation on scientific research and teacher and students cultivation with CUIT teachers and students, Moreover, they had deep communication on Air pollution in Sichuan basin and the comprehensive meteorological observation of the mega-city of chengdu. The report was hosted by Vice President Shu Hongping.
